Your Skin,
Understood.
Every GhalMédica experience begins with a genuine clinical conversation — not a sales pitch. Before any treatment is recommended, Dr. Sonya Ghalehii, MD takes the time to understand your skin, your history, and your goals.
For patients looking for an aesthetic consultation in Montreal, the West Island, or Pointe-Claire, this appointment is designed to provide clarity before treatment — whether you are considering Botox and neuromodulators, dermal fillers, SkinPen microneedling, Morpheus8, or simply want to better understand your skin.
Book Your ConsultationA GhalMédica consultation is not a template. Every appointment is shaped by the patient in front of us. Here is what most first visits look like — though yours may differ based on your specific concerns.
Dr. Sonya begins by understanding your history — previous treatments, skincare routine, medications, hormonal changes, and what concerns are bringing you in. This is not a checklist. It is a conversation.
Using our VISIA complexion analysis system, we capture a clinical image of your skin showing what is happening at the surface and beneath it — UV damage, pore distribution, texture, pigmentation, and more. This gives both you and Dr. Sonya an objective baseline to work from.
Dr. Sonya assesses your facial anatomy, skin condition, and the structural changes that are contributing to your concerns. As a family physician, she approaches this with a diagnostic lens — looking at the face as a whole, not in isolated areas.
Based on everything discussed and observed, Dr. Sonya presents a treatment recommendation — or explains why no treatment is the right answer at this time. Every recommendation is explained in plain language, with the clinical rationale made clear.
Time is allocated specifically for your questions. There are no rushed endings. If you are uncertain, say so. If you want to think about it, that is encouraged. A good consultation leaves you more informed — never more pressured.
Whether you book a treatment that day, take time to decide, or simply leave with a clearer picture of your skin — the decision is entirely yours. GhalMédica does not follow up with promotional offers or push for a booking.
VISIA is a clinical skin imaging system that captures a comprehensive picture of your skin — including concerns that are not yet visible to the naked eye. At GhalMédica, we include VISIA analysis at every consultation because we believe informed patients make better decisions.
Rather than relying on subjective assessment alone, VISIA gives Dr. Sonya an objective clinical baseline — and gives you the ability to see exactly what she sees.
At GhalMédica, consultations are conducted by Dr. Sonya Ghalehii, MD — not a coordinator, not a patient care advisor, and not a senior esthetician standing in for a physician.
This distinction matters. A physician-led consultation means your skin history is reviewed through a clinical lens, your facial anatomy is assessed with medical training behind the assessment, and your treatment recommendation is made by someone who can recognize contraindications, identify risk factors, and understand the full picture of your health.
Most aesthetic clinics offer consultations with a non-physician. At GhalMédica, that has never been the standard.
Results vary. All treatments are performed or supervised under physician oversight.
Aesthetic medicine in Québec is governed by the Collège des médecins du Québec, and GhalMédica operates in full compliance with CMQ standards at every level of care. Physician oversight at GhalMédica is not a marketing claim — it is a clinical reality that shapes everything from how consultations are conducted to how treatments are delivered.
Dr. Sonya Ghalehii, MD is present and clinically responsible at every injectable treatment at GhalMédica. Not on call. Not available if needed. Present — because that is what physician oversight actually means.
GhalMédica uses real-time ultrasound guidance for all filler treatments, allowing Dr. Sonya to map your unique vascular anatomy before any product is placed. Vascular injury is one of the most serious complications of filler injection. Ultrasound guidance significantly reduces this risk.
Your full medical history, current medications, and health status are reviewed before any treatment is recommended or performed. Contraindications are identified at consultation — not discovered mid-treatment.
Some patients leave their GhalMédica consultation without a treatment booked — because the honest answer is that no treatment is the right answer for them at this time. This is not a failure. It is the standard we hold ourselves to.
GhalMédica charges a consultation fee of $100 + applicable taxes for initial appointments with Dr. Sonya Ghalehii, MD. This fee reflects the time, clinical expertise, and tools — including VISIA skin analysis — that go into every first visit.
We believe in transparent pricing. The consultation fee is confirmed at the time of booking, never hidden in fine print, and fully redeemable toward the cost of treatment — under the conditions below.
Your $100 consultation fee is credited in full toward the cost of your treatment if treatment is performed on the same day as your consultation and if Dr. Sonya determines it is clinically appropriate to proceed. Treatment on the same day is never guaranteed — safety and clinical suitability always take precedence over convenience.
Many patients arrive at their consultation ready to proceed — and when Dr. Sonya's assessment confirms it is safe and appropriate to do so, we can often treat on the same day, saving you a return visit. If further preparation is needed, or if Dr. Sonya recommends against proceeding immediately for clinical reasons, your treatment will be scheduled at a separate appointment.
The $100 consultation fee applies to all initial appointments and is non-refundable. It is redeemable in full toward treatment cost only when treatment is performed on the same day and deemed clinically appropriate by Dr. Sonya Ghalehii, MD. Treatment pricing varies by protocol and is discussed during your consultation. No treatment pricing is presented before a clinical assessment is complete.
These are the questions we hear most often from patients who have been thinking about coming in but have not quite made the appointment yet.
Yes — and particularly if you are unsure. A consultation with Dr. Sonya will give you an honest assessment of your skin and a clear picture of what, if anything, would genuinely benefit you. You may leave with the reassurance that nothing is needed. That is a valuable outcome too.
GhalMédica does not operate on a sales model. Dr. Sonya's role at consultation is to assess and advise — not to close a treatment. Some patients leave without booking anything. This is respected and expected. There is no follow-up sales call.
The most common source of poor outcomes in aesthetic medicine is the absence of a genuine clinical assessment beforehand. At GhalMédica, nothing is recommended without physician assessment, nothing is performed without physician oversight, and no protocol is designed around volume or speed.
This is the most common concern we hear — and it is exactly the philosophy GhalMédica was built around. We enhance. We don't change. The most common feedback we receive is that patients look like themselves — rested, refreshed, and harmonized. That is the only result we are interested in delivering.
Yes. First consultations are allocated up to 45 minutes specifically because we know patients come in with questions. Write them down before you arrive. No question is too basic, and no concern is too small to address.
The consultation fee is $100 plus applicable taxes. It is redeemable in full toward the cost of treatment if treatment is performed on the same day as your consultation — and only if Dr. Sonya determines it is clinically safe and appropriate to proceed that day. If treatment needs to be scheduled separately, the consultation fee is not transferable. There is no follow-up pressure and no obligation to book at all.
Always the Conversation.
You do not need to have made up your mind. You do not need to know which treatment you want. You only need to be ready to have an honest conversation about your skin with a physician who will give you an honest answer.
